Another Turn Tack was born out of a real necessity here in Loudoun County. The area needed a local tack store where equine and rider items are offered at a reasonable price with friendly and helpful staff. Karen McCarthy launched the business in 2013 after cleaning out friends' haylofts, tack rooms, and trailers, offering cleaned and gently used items for horses and humans, and selling them out of her farmhouse. Soon after she moved the business into the White Hotel in Purcellville. Karen is a life-long equestrian of the hunter/jumper, dressage, and foxhunting disciplines and has been known to be called the tack " Oracle".
