3M 847 Nitrile High Performance Rubber and Gasket Adhesive is a versatile, solvent-based adhesive with low viscosity for easy application. It offers strong oil and heat resistance, and is often used to bond most rubber and gasket materials. This adhesive bonds neoprene, reclaimed nitrile rubber (BUNA), SBR and butyl rubbers to metal, wood, plastic and more. It offers excellent water and heat resistance up to 300°F/148°C, fast drying, and up to 15 minutes of open bonding range. In tough conditions, 3M 847 is a reliable solution, with strong, flexible bonds and medium viscosity for easy application. This adhesive can be used for brush, flow, or spray applications. For best results, apply a uniform coat to the surface with an overlapping pattern; for some, an additional coat may be necessary. 80% or more of the surface should be covered for effective adhesive coverage.
